1. Busy! Busy! Busy! Turn Procrastination and Lack of Time into Motivation and Productivity.

Busy! Busy! Busy! Turn procrastination and lack of time into motivation and productivity…

Most of us at some point suffer the frustration of feeling that there aren’t enough hours in the day and your to-do list is growing by the hour. You’re so busy but you don’t feel that you’re making much headway. You may be juggling the demands of work, house, chores, errands, children and everything else. Sometimes you may feel like tearing your hair out as you are just craving some time to yourself where you can have some quiet headspace.

Sound familiar?

How can we help with this?

Through quietening your mind down.

So here’s the thing.

You can have a busy life but still experience a quiet mind immersed in a feeling of tranquillity. Don’t get me wrong. We are human and each and every one of us will have ‘off’ days where we feel stressed and overwhelmed and that’s ok.

It’s just about recognising what’s going on and knowing that a quiet mind – where fresh ideas, insights, lightbulb moments and creativity is just around the corner. It’s just about creating ripe conditions for that to flourish. A quieter mind leads to greater productivity and less procrastination. Which means you will get more done in less time despite what the demands on your time are.

Here’s how you can help.

You don’t need to sit on top of the mountain to meditate in order to experience that sense of inner peace. Go for a walk in nature. Sit in the garden. Have a bath (the ancient Greek philosopher Archimides who was famous for the term ‘Eureka! Eureka! I found it! I found it!), was relaxing in the bathtub when he had a flash of insight to help him solve the problem around water displacement. Take the dog out. Lock yourself in the toilet with a book.

You get the idea.

All these things can help you have some quiet time to recharge your batteries and help get you in a more meditative state to help you think more clearly.

The best way to describe this state?

Clarity of mind.
